BLIND COLLABORATION: A COLOR SCENARIO

After collaborating on a music project in Berlin, artists Maryna Russo and Zeb Ringer discovered a shared

creative ethos — a deep trust in process, an embrace of intuition, and a willingness to follow ideas into

the unknown. From this connection emerged BLIND COLLABORATION: A COLOR SCENARIO, a year-long artistic

experiment grounded in constraint, independence, and transformation.

The collaboration is “blind” not only in method — minimal discussion, no visual exchange during production

— but also in the sense of stepping into an unknown outcome. The project merges two practices into a

cohesive chromatic narrative, revealing how two artists can converse without direct influence.

This exhibition is the first public presentation of the resulting work.

BLIND COLLABORATION: A COLOR SCENARIO is a structured yet intuitive collaboration centered on the

emotional, symbolic, and perceptual qualities of color.

Beginning in September 2023, each artist received four 20 × 20 cm canvases per month, with each month

assigned a single color. The chromatic sequence was conceived by Maryna Russo and shared with Zeb Ringer,

who responded independently.

The individual paintings have been curated into twelve 80 × 80 cm composite high-quality digital prints

of  each assembled eight canvases — four by each artist — into a unified structure. The resulting pieces

reveal the meeting points and frictions between two independent visual vocabularies.
